  • MTU Basketball to Host “Copper Country Strong” Games, Teddy Bear Toss

    The Michigan Tech men’s and women’s basketball programs will each be hosting a "Copper Country Strong" game this Thursday (Dec. 6) when the teams both host Parkside. The teams will then host a Teddy Bear Toss during halftime of their games on Saturday (Dec. 8) against Purdue Northwest.

    Volleyball begins postseason play Wednesday against Grand Valley State at the SDC Gym. The football teams wraps up its 2018 season Saturday at Sherman Field. Hockey and women's basketball are at Ferris State and men's basketball is at Northern Michigan.

    Michigan Tech football plays its home-opener this weekend against Hillsdale College. The Huskies opened the season last weekend at Truman State with a 20-10 win. Soccer went undefeated at home and volleyball went 3-1 at the Wildcat Open.

  • Kapatos Hired as Assistant Director of Athletic Communication

    Michigan Tech Athletics has recently hired Nick Kapatos as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communication. Kapatos will serve as the primary contact for cross country, track & field, volleyball, and Nordic skiing, and will also assist in the promotion of Michigan Tech Recreation, the Outdoor Adventure Program, and intramurals.

  • Michigan Tech Announces 2018 Sports Hall of Fame Class

    Seven individuals will be inducted into the Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Fame on October 12. Former football players Joe Berger and Jim Peters, former hockey players Steve Coates and Kip Noble, former men’s basketball player Mike Kissman, former Nordic skier Kristina Owen, and former sports information director Dennis Hanks will all be honored.

  • Bob Olson memorial service set for July 19
    July 13, 2018
    The memorial service for Bob Olson will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19 at The Church of the Resurrection in Hancock. Olson, the original "Voice of the Huskies," passed away on March 3 in Middletown, Connecticut at the age of 87.
  • Tech Athletics Earns a NACMA “Best Of” Award
    July 13, 2018
    Michigan Tech Athletics earned bronze recognition at the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) "Best Of" Awards at the organization's 27th annual convention in the nation's capital at the end of June. The bronze was awarded in the Digital Video Segment as Tech earned recognition from NACMA in the category for the second straight year.
